Salinas, CA — The Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team is heading west to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for Round 3 of the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, determined to bounce back and continue progressing with their new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the ultra-competitive GS class.
After a challenging race at Sebring that saw the team battling early setbacks in March, the crew is more motivated than ever to turn the page and deliver a strong result on a track that holds special significance to the team. In 2024, they captured a dominant victory at Laguna Seca in the TCR class — a performance they’re aiming to replicate as they continue adapting to the GS category.
Looking to Repeat a Strong Result
“This is always a special event for the team, not only because it’s such a great, classic track that everyone loves to visit but also because it tends to line up around a lot of birthdays within our Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team." said Chris Miller. "Last year we were able to add another reason to celebrate by getting the win and we will all do our best to try to repeat that success. We continue to learn a lot about our new race car and I’m confident the hard work will pay off with a good result sooner than later!”
Eric Filgueiras Subs In for Mikey Taylor
With veteran driver Mikey Taylor welcoming a newborn to his family, three-time SRO America champion Eric Filgueiras will join Chris Miller behind the wheel of the #17 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS this weekend. Eric’s extensive experience with Porsche machinery adds valuable knowledge and depth to the team.

A Demanding Track That Requires Focus
The elevation changes, technical corners, and famously tricky Corkscrew section make Laguna Seca a favorite among drivers, and a key opportunity for teams to make strides in the championship. With valuable data collected from the first two rounds, and plenty of seat time for the drivers, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team is ready to apply those lessons and push for a stronger finish.
